The dramatic 25 Steps vineyard lies on a steep, nearly rock-hard slope at the base of the Pisa Range in Lowburn, in the heart of the Central Otago’s main winegrowing area. Because it is so steep, the vineyard had to be carefully carved into the hillside step by step. These distinctive 25 stepped terraces inspired the name of our vineyard and our wine and impart unique characteristics and qualities to our Pinot Noir and Pinot Noir Rose.
